Jean Manino

has been actively competing in obedience trials for over 20 years. She has attained every obedience title offered by the AKC. Her dogs are multiple High in Trial winners, Dog World award winners, and have been inducted into the Obedience Hall of Fame.

Her dogs have appeared in hundreds of TV commercials and movies, both nationally and internationally. Some notable appearances include the stage play Annie, TV appearances on Morgus the Magnificent, the movies Delta Heat (with Lance Hendrickson), Blue Bayou (with Alfri Woodard and Roy Thinnes), and many commercials, including Scope Mouthwash, Colligan Water, Southern Comfort, Mississippi and Louisiana Power and Light, Dial-A-Teacher, Peoples' Bank of Jackson, and Little Miss Debbie Snack Cakes, just to name a few.

Ms. Manino has also worked for the Walt Disney Touchstone Studios as their official Animal Wrangler and is listed in the La. Film Commission directory. Many of her students' dogs have also appeared in TV commercials, newspaper advertisements, and fashion shows.
Ms. Manino has taken part in a great variety of dog-related activities. As a behavioral specialist she has been asked to give expert testimony in dog bite cases. She has conducted seminars, judged numerous AKC sanctioned obedience matches, and has volunteered three years of her time as the instructor of the SPCA's Care Cadet program.
Jean Manino is a dedicated instructor and has been teaching obedience since 1979. Many students from her basic (beginner) class have continued through the advanced program. These students have competed very successfully, rarely placing out of the top four in all three levels of competition. However, your dog doesn't have to be a "show dog" to be well mannered, well adjusted, and a real part of your family and your life.
